LGU ARTECHE’s Project SUSAN.E and Korean Government Collaborate to Provide Nutrition to Malnourished Children

In a concerted effort to combat child malnutrition, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Arteche under the SUSAN.E Project (Sustainable Nutrition and Nanay Empowerment) has partnered with ZEP,  South Korean government, PBSP, DOH, DSWD and other NGOs. This collaborative initiative aims to address the critical issue of malnutrition among children in Arteche,  Eastern Samar, Philippines.   The Korean government rice distribution has commenced to families of 195 malnourished children identified across Arteche. This essential support comes through the generous contribution of the Korean government, emphasizing its commitment to improving global health outcomes and supporting vulnerable communities.   Arteche, known for its picturesque landscapes and close-knit community, has grappled with the challenge of child malnutrition despite its natural beauty. Project SUSAN.E, seeks to provide immediate relief while promoting sustainable nutrition practices and long term solution to malnutrition. Under the SUSAN.E Project are the MaMa, (Masaganang Pagbubuntis), LETRA, One Barangay, One Gully, Feeding Programs, etc.

With continued support and innovative approaches, Project SUSAN.E aims to serve as a model for sustainable development and nutrition interventions in similar communities worldwide, promising a brighter future for children in Arteche and beyond.
