LGU Arteche One of the Three Municipalities in Eastern Samar to Qualify for the 2023 SGLG National Validation

LGU Arteche aims for the third SGLG award as it qualifies for the 2023 SGLG National Validation. The Seal of Good Loccal Governance is an award given to municipalities who were able to comply DILG’s requirements in 10 Areas of Governance. The elusive award as described by DILG ‘isang pagkilala sa husay at galing nga pamahalaang lokal” ensures that LGUs complies to the basic requirements, processes and services required to be able to improve and safeguard the lives of the people. The Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) is a prestigious recognition and award given by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in the Philippines to local government units (LGUs) that have demonstrated exemplary performance in various areas of governance.
To qualify the LGU must pass all ten (10) governance areas: Financial Administration and Sustainability Disaster Preparedness Social Protection and Sensitivity Health Compliance and Responsiveness; Sustainable Education Business Friendliness and Competitiveness, Safety, Peace and Order, Environmental Management; Tourism, Heritage Development Culture, and Arts; and Youth Development.
The DILG is yet to announce the official qualifiers for the 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance.
