PROJECT SUSAN.E (SUSTAINABLE NUTRITION AND NANAY EMPOWERMENT)
December 5, 2024Announcement
SUSAN.E Project: Bridging Nutrition and Empowerment in Arteche, Eastern Samar.
In response to this challenge of malnutrition, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Arteche has launched the SUSAN.E Project (Sustainable Nutrition and Nanay Empowerment), a transformative initiative aimed at addressing malnutrition through sustainable interventions and community empowerment.
The SUSAN.E Project is designed to provide both immediate relief and sustainable, long-term solutions to malnutrition in Arteche. At its core, the project emphasizes the empowerment of mothers (‘Nanays’) and caregivers as key agents of change in their children’s nutrition. By equipping them with knowledge and resources, SUSAN.E seeks to foster a culture of nutrition awareness and healthy eating practices within households.
Central to the success of SUSAN.E are the collaborative partnerships forged with National Government Agencies (NGAs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). These partnerships bring together expertise, resources, and diverse perspectives to create comprehensive strategies for tackling malnutrition. Through joint efforts, SUSAN.E aims to leverage the strengths of each partner, maximizing impact and sustainability.
